Are you looking to implement or further explore the use of continuous provision in Y1 and possibly Y2? Then this full day of exploring possibilities in the development of CP in the classroom to support and enhance learning will support you in this journey. There will also be an opportunity to hear from colleagues who have successfully implemented CP in their classrooms. We will discuss:

• Considerations when creating an appropriate and enabling learning environment, indoors (and outdoors if possible) as children move from Reception to Y1
• How the environment can support teaching and learning of key skills and knowledge in Y1
• The varied roles of the educator in ensuring children make progress in learning and development in different contexts
• Documentation of independent learning
• Sharing effective practice from other schools

The aim of this webinar is for participants to:

• Recognise what high-quality early years practice looks like in everyday provision
• Explore the role of effective adult–child interactions in supporting learning and development
• Strengthen understanding of early years leadership and curriculum thinking
• Feel more confident in articulating early years practice during inspection

• The key statutory and nonstatutory requirements and how they inform practice in the early years, as well as exploring recent Ofsted research documents
• How effective environments and purposeful interactions from all staff can support and extend learning, as well as enable children to reach high levels of engagement
• Curriculum development and assessment in the early years How learning can be made visible in an early years classroom
